SMPP Transport

The Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) protocol is a telecommunications industry protocol for exchanging SMS messages between SMS peer entities such as short message service centers and/or External Short Messaging Entities. It is often used to allow third parties (e.g. value-added service providers like news organizations) to submit messages. You can read more about SMPP protocol in an appropriate wikipedia article.

SMPP Transport for XCS eiConsole is a connector module that is able to submit your transaction data as a messages to appropriate Short message service center (SMSC).

This transpors is very flexible because of ability to define detailed configuration. You can configure all of the important parameters of the SMPP message and connection to the SMSC server. Most of the parameters are prefilled with default values. Below you can see the screenshot of the SMPP Transport configuration panel in the XCS eiConsole.

SMPP Transport

Please, note, that this SMPP Transport works with the SMPP protocol of version 3.4. You can read more about this version of the protocol in the specification document on the Documentation section of this web page.
